Just a brief comment on the evaluation results of TELLConsult’s course ‘Getting more out of Digital Video in Language Education’ commissioned by the Friuli Office of the Italian Ministry of Education for a selected group of Italian teachers/trainers in adult education to also inform themselves about practices in Migrant Education in other EU countries.
This customised course edition was run in April 2018, at Valencia University in Spain.
The questionnaire addressed delegates’ appreciation of 7 aspects of the course, namely: course topics related activities (n=30), input and tasks provided by tutors, delegates’ self-reported increase of knowledge & confidence levels, the use of course supporting e-learning tools, course organisation and general realisation of expectations.
It is a pleasure to report that the top scores on a Likert scale of 5 (very much/good – much/good) were selected with a frequency ranging from 80 -100% for all of these aspects, with only 3 sub items with slightly lower scores.
And -in addition – to see these results confirmed by spontaneous, complimentary statements like:
‘It was a very usefull course. Thank you so much’
Thank you Ton for your professionality, this course has given me a lot!
All this strengenths our motivation to offer this course again later this year and in 2019. For more details see our current courses pages.
We would also like to use the occasion to thank co-tutor Christine Appel (OU Catalunya), Helena Ros (presenting local approaches to Migrant Education) and John Traxler (presenting a concurrent webinar *on the use of technology (e.g. Moonlite as a project) and mobile devices in particular in supporting initiatives for migrants & refugees) for their contributions and flexibility.
