InHOLLAND University organised successful multiplier event for EU project DEIMP on mobile learning in education

InHOLLAND University, Dutch partner in the EU project ‘‘Developing and Evaluating Innovative Mobile Pedagogies’ (#DEIMP) offered its second, well attended, multiplier event on 25 September 2019.

After a short introduction to the DEIMP project and its preliminary results and experiences with the pilot version of the MOOC, presented by Jeroen Bottema and one of the schoolbased practitioners ,

delegates (n=20) could choose between 2 parallel workshop sessions. One was an outdoor tour designed by Gerton Cazemier experiencing location-based learning using ActionBound

Jeroen Bottema ran an interactive session (for managers and ICT coordinators) on how to further stimulate mobile learning in their schools by exploring the complexity of the didactic use of ICT by instructors and how to develop teachers’ didactic repertoire in this domain.

In addition to research by Kennisnet on the Dutch national context re ICT use by teachers he included more recent findings specifically on mobile learning related issues from a regional study done with his colleague Marjan Faber (Bottema et al., 2018) .
Delegates reported to have appreciated the update on the project interim results, the workshops and the introduction to the second run of the free online course, starting next week on October 4.
